Adobo is the ultimate Filipino comfort food beloved by foodies from the world over. It is a Philippine dish that makes use of soy sauce, vinegar, whole peppercorns, bay leaf and garlic as both marinade and stew base for pieces of chicken, pork or fish. As one of the most requested dishes from our menu, our adobo is slow-cooked to perfection and features Malou's Kapampangan touch.

No Filipino-inspired buffet spread is complete without the lumpia! Lumpia is a deep-fried spring roll filled with seasoned ground beef and minced vegetables. It is a popular finger food and entree in Filipino cuisine, eaten alone or with warm rice. The lumpia also happens to be high up on the list of our most requested dishes.
\ ˈpän(t)sə̇t \
Pansit (also spelled with a -c, as in “pancit”) is a Chinese-inspired, Filipino stir-fried noodle dish that symbolizes long life and good health. This explains why the humble pancit is a staple in many birthday parties among Filipino families. The dish typically contains baby shrimps, crushed pork rind, sliced vegetables, and any meat of choice. Choose between the regular Tagalog style of pancit or the more exciting, Kapampangan version called “pancit luglug.”

Our Story
Born and raised in Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines, Marilou Shurn grew up in a community that embraced cooking as an art form. Malou cultivated a knack for cooking at a young age, having been exposed to the indigenous delicacies of Candaba, Pampanga and the next-door province of Bulacan. Today, Malou leverages these dual culinary influences to bring the most iconic Filipino dishes to her clients.
Malou’s journey as a chef was unexpected. What began as occasional cooking assignments for office potlucks soon turned to frequent “special requests” for her crispy spring rolls/lumpia and sumptuous caldereta. Initially reluctant to start a Filipino catering business, it didn’t take long for Malou to give in to the demand for her signature dishes. Thus, A Taste of Pampanga – Excellent Filipino Cuisine was born.
